Chapter 16. AIR QUALITY ISSUES

Fresh air to breath is already a privilege. Majority of human population already knows that firsthand. Some of us are blessed to be lucky to live in the areas without significant air pollution, but when we travel we often get our share of the burden as well. Enormous amount of people already have to relocate due to air-pollution related health problems, becoming environmental emigrants or even refugees. Impact of air pollution goes far beyond of health problems only, impacting entire planet via such factors as global warming, ozone depletion, radiation and etc. Critical importance of air for human life makes air quality one of the first priorities to deal with regardless of any national, political, economic, and/or cultural affiliations. It is a global problem, and it can only be solved via global efforts.
