We all know (or intuitively feel) that Human population growth is a big deal. It is an important feature of our time; it is an issue in many fields far beyond of environmental problems; and it is a challenge international community has to deal with every day. It is important to remember that human demographic situation is something unique and special, but even human follow some fundamental population trends and features shared by all thing alive.
